We are currently seeking a Chief Compliance Officer for one of our clients, an insurance company. The recruitment department, “Perles Rares,” will be handling this hiring process.
Position: Chief Compliance Officer
Responsibilities:
- Manage, supervise, and motivate the Compliance team.
- Draft, update, and ensure the implementation of rules derived from charters, policies, and procedures within the scope of Compliance.
- Develop and implement Compliance action plans and the Compliance control plan.
- Safeguard the insurance company by conducting regular monitoring and controls of identified risks.
- Stay updated with regulatory requirements in the field of Compliance.
- Prepare and present various regulatory reports of the Compliance function to the governance bodies of the company.
- Act as the primary point of contact for national authorities (CRF, CAA , … ) for areas falling under the purview of Compliance.
- Assist and advise the company’s governance bodies in anticipating, detecting, evaluating, and managing Compliance risks.
- Foster a Compliance culture within the company by highlighting ethical and professional values.
Preferred Profile:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree (Bac +5) related to the required expertise and possess a relevant professional experience of at least 10 years in the field of Compliance.
- Excellent command of the legal and regulatory framework within the areas of Compliance responsibility.
- Good knowledge of tax and legal domains.
- Familiarity with the functioning of an insurance company and the products offered.
- Strong managerial skills: strategic vision, team leadership and management, decision-making ability, change management, conflict resolution, and initiative-taking capacity.
- Good analytical and synthesis skills.
- Excellent command of English.
